S.M.A.R.T. Goal Process Training

This two-day training utilizes the participant's own school data to provide a basic understanding and working knowledge of the S.M.A.R.T. Goal Process, a data-driven, collaborative goal-setting and monitoring system for improving instruction. Participants will learn and apply practical, easy-to-use tools and methods designed to keep teams focused on their highest priority work – student achievement. The training is delivered on site to any combination of teams or individuals at any or all levels K-12.

Participants will leave with knowledge of:

  • a step-by-step process for instructional improvement
  • how to isolate your school’s “Greatest Area of Need” (GAN)
  • how to translate data into a S.M.A.R.T. Tree Diagram
  • how to use your school’s S.M.A.R.T. goal to focus and align best-practice research with daily classroom practice
  • basic skills for running effective collaborative meetings.

Each participant receives training materials and a copy of the bestselling book The Power of SMART Goals by Jan O’Neill, Anne Conzemius, Carol Commodore and Carol Pulsfus.
